1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Fasting.fitness (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Fasting.fitness is a web-based intermittent fasting tracker that helps users:

  • Track fasting sessions from 24 to 120 hours
  • Monitor autophagy and ketosis levels
  • Log mood and weight data during fasting
  • View detailed information about fasting phases and body systems
  • Share fasting progress publicly via unique links
  • Access educational content about intermittent fasting

The Service is provided for informational and tracking purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 OAuth Authentication

We use secure OAuth 2.0 authentication provided by Google and Apple. By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information from your OAuth provider
  • Maintain the security of your Google or Apple account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: The information provided by Fasting.fitness is for educational and informational purposes only. The Service is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding:

  • Starting an intermittent fasting program
  • Extended fasting periods
  • Any medical condition or symptoms
  • Interactions with medications or supplements

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on this Service. Fasting may not be appropriate for everyone, including pregnant women, children, individuals with certain medical conditions, or those taking specific medications.

5. User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Not upload, post, or transmit any harmful code or malware
  • Not impersonate any person or entity
  • Not harvest or collect information about other users
  • Not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Fasting.fitness and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain all rights to the data you create, upload, or track using the Service (fasting sessions, mood logs, weight data, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6.3 Public Sharing

When you use the public sharing feature, you grant us permission to display your shared fasting data publicly via your unique share link. You can revoke this permission at any time by disabling sharing in your settings.

7. Data Export and Account Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Export your data: Download all your fasting data in JSON format via Settings
  • Clear your data: Delete all fasting history and tracking data via Settings
  • Delete your account: Contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data

Upon account deletion, all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may experience:

  • Scheduled maintenance and updates
  • Unscheduled downtime due to technical issues
  • Service interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control

8.2 Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FASTING.FITNESS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Health issues or medical complications arising from fasting
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Errors or inaccuracies in the Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fasting.fitness and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your fasting activities and any health consequences

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Denmark.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fasting.fitness regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
